Colin likes to do so many things on the bass, from making a living playing classical music to improvising and playing jazz. There are several projects with a wide range of stlyes that Colin has going on that are available for booking.

Colin is into playing all styles of music, from art rock, to free jazz, to more traditional jazz and of course all styles of classical music.....

But mainly he takes pride in the following bands, whose members live in various parts of the country. So getting these bands together for performances is a special occassion.

The Jetsam Organic Ensemble

featuring Christian Zamora on violin, Matt Knippel on cello and melodica, James Holdman on guitar and percussion, and Colin on the bass, this acoustic jazz quartet played the 2006 Macy's Day of Music in Minneapolis to great acclaim. The group breaks the boundries of traditional jazz and free improvisation with a world-music flavor. The group has also played the Dakota Jazz club in Minneapolis

Blood Electric

featuring Heirospecs pianist deVon Gray on keys and Peter Leggett on drums, bothe members of the popular hip-hop group the Heirospecs, this is what you would call a triphop jazz piano trio at its finest, and can merge free and traditional elements with hip-hop and pop....or anti-pop....this group has performed to rave reviews at the Dakota Jazz Club in the Twin Cities

The Brillliant Diverge (also Xibaba)

Led by Tom Kehoe on piano and Mira Kehoe on percussion and vocals, also Colin plays in their band Xibaba sometimes. This band plays SMOKIN' Brazilian Jazz and Fusion music, and features some of the pre-eminent Brazilian Jazz gurus in the US. Xibaba would give anyone a run for the money at jazz festivals nationwide

The Penetrators

Featuring New Orleans based J. Steigner on drums and Dr. Jimbo Walsh on keys, chaotic New Orleans free-jazz at its finest, led by the worlds foremost scholar in the music of Schenberg and Sun Ra

Pendulum

Featuring Matt Knippel on cello and Colin on bass, from Hermeto Pasqual to Coltrane to The Beatles, this Jazz cello/bass duo hits the spot with a nice mellow vibe. Matt is truly one of the pre-eminent jazz cellists in the country
